Window-shopping in a haberdashery

I linked to my first love in this respect (a mercerie in the Marais neighborhood of Paris, which sadly closed this spring, alas!), but honestly I would loosely include even hyper-specific purveyors of fabric-adjacent goods under this category. Ribbon and tassel shops in France and Italy, tweed sellers in Scotland, button stores in Japan… There’s something so satisfying, to my mind, about daydreaming of all the things you could make with some particularly beautiful scrap or doodad.
